Block of Maroc - Block of the Month
Block of Maroc is a brand new block of the month quilt by Jen Kingwell, commencing in July 2024
This is a 12 month block of the month program. Cancellations will not be accepted.
The Block of Maroc quilt is a captivating sampler quilt designed by Jen Kingwell and inspired by her adventures in Morocco. This hand piecing and hand applique project captures the essence of Morocco, featuring terracotta architecture, desert sands, and handcrafted ceramics and textiles.
Each month, participants will receive a fabric pack, printed instructions and templates, as well as access to helpful hints and tips videos by Jen. Additionally, participants will enjoy free access to Jen's online hand piecing and appliqué workshops, and entry to the official Facebook page.
Fabrics will vary from Jen's quilt but will be chosen by Wendy to recreate a similar look and feel as the cover quilt, using predominantly colourful Ruby Star Society fabrics, with low volume fabrics chosen from across our entire fabric range. The amount of fabrics shipped each month will vary, depending on the requirements for the particular element being worked.
The finished quilt measures 73 x 86 inches, making it a stunning addition to any home.
