For the fabrics in the Meadow Star collection, Alexia drew inspiration from applique quilts, specifically the designs in antique album or sampler quilts.  The hero print in the group is the large-scale Applique Menagerie design, which provides endless piecing. fussy cutting, or even whole-cloth quilt possibilities.  The group is rounded out with smaller scale supporting prints. We can see huge potential to mix and match these designs with her previous collection Sugar Maple.
